Seven Meadows Archery

Seven Meadows Archery is based in Tacoma, WA. They produce beautiful, hand-crafted horse bows which are also quite affordable given the craftsmanship. They specialize in Mongolian, Magyar, Hun, Tatar, and Scythian bows.

Our members who own these bows generally agree that these make amazing target and tournament archery bows, but we would not generally recommend using them on the war field. If you break your Seven Meadows bow — something that can easily happen in combat — you will be very sad.

One tip: Invest in a shooting glove. These horsebows to not have an arrow rest as part of their traditional design, so arrow fletchings will slice the base of your thumb. While blooding your bow to make it your own is cool and all…the cuts get old quickly.

Ardescan Testimonials

Whenever I pull my Mongolian horse bow out for target archery at events, people ask me where I got it.

I’d seen their tents at both the Washington Midsummer Renaissance Faire and the Scottish Highland Games for years and been drooling over their bows. Finally, a few years back, I took the plunge and I couldn’t be happier. They’re fun to shoot, and always a great conversation piece. The craftsmanship is top-notch.
