Ursyn Shieldbreaker

Baron of Arandor, Squire of the Storm, Master Brewer of the Brewers’ Guild of Ardesca, Member of the order of the Tyros Lumen

Second son of lesser nobility hailing from Poland ca. year 1400, faced with a lack of prospects as his older brother was set to inherit the family’s wealth, but there would be little left for him, when he came of age he was given his family’s old armor and weapons and set out into the world to seek his fortune as a sellsword. His travels took him around Europe. Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Budapest, Pula, Venice, Palma, and London were among many places he visited but did not find his place. Ultimately, his travels always pushed him further west.

Eventually he settled in the lands of Arandor, where he finally found his place and put his skills to work as best as he could. Joining the men-at-arms of the Barony, he caught the eye of a Knight of the Storm Turalyon Devereux and was made a squire. Around the same time, his work as a seneschal of the barony was recognized by then Baroness Alanna Devereux and chosen to be her successor. He now leads the Barony into the future alongside his wife Baroness Kelandrae.

Kelandrae Abendstern

Born near Berlin, Germany, around the year 1400, Kelandrae spent her early years living a quiet, agrarian life, learning basic mending out of sheer necessity. Her world changed when she crossed paths with the traveling sellsword, Ursyn, during his extended stay in her village. Drawn to the excitement of the wider world and falling deeply in love, Kelandrae made the bold choice to leave her homeland behind and join Ursyn on the road.

Life on the mercenary trail was harsh but formative. Kelandrae frequently found herself tending to Ursyn’s battlefield wounds, patching his gambeson, and repairing his armor by firelight. Through this relentless practical work, she began to discover a genuine passion and talent for the textile arts.

Eventually, their travels carried them far from the German states and into the lands of Arandor. It was here that her meticulous handiwork caught the eye of Stormweaver Toka Gronluv. Seeing raw potential in the former village girl, Toka took Kelandrae under her wing, pushing her to elevate her utilitarian mending into the refined arts of sewing, embroidery, and fingerloop braiding.

Through years of steadfast service, artistry, and an unwavering commitment to their new home, Kelandrae’s influence grew. She would ultimately rise to become the Baroness of Arandor and Duchess of Stormhold, gracefully leading her people alongside her husband with an open mind, a fair heart, and hands still eager to craft.

Moira “Corwinn” Dragonheart

Moira “Corwinn” Dragonheart is a spirited traveler of 14th-century Europe, journeying through the vibrant lands of France, Germany, and Italy. Her wardrobe shifts with the cultures she encounters, each piece a reflection of the diverse stories she's woven into her own. Her passion for leatherworking was sparked by an encounter with Aveloc, a wise man who encouraged her to believe that anyone—regardless of class or background—could learn any skill. With that inspiration in mind, she gathered tools from the market and set to work, creating leather goods that were both practical and beautiful, a testament to her commitment to growth and craftsmanship.

Along her travels, Moira stumbled upon a place that would come to mean more to her than she ever expected—the Barony of Arandor. Welcomed with open arms by the kind-hearted folk there, she quickly found herself immersed in a prosperous, thriving community, surrounded by companions she could call family. Filled with joy and a sense of belonging, Moira put down roots, eager to see where this new chapter would lead them all. Still, her restless spirit hasn’t waned—whether she’s crafting, embroidering, or leading a spontaneous feral dance party beneath the stars, she remains the same wild soul, known fondly as the “Chaos Gremlin”. A true “Heart’s Friend,” she’s always ready to share laughter, adventures, and mischief with anyone who’ll join her on this unexpected, wonderful journey.
