Navigating the new website is done from a few navigation areas. The two main ones are the top navigation bar and the bottom/footer navigation bar. Some areas of the site will also display a navigation menu on the left side for certain pages that are grouped together.
Let’s provide some quick summary of what you’ll find in each of these areas at the time of the new website’s launch:
Top Navigation Bar
These items should appear listed across the top of the website. However if you are on mobile, or your window is sized small enough that they do not fit, you may find a three-bar “hamburger” menu in the upper right. Clicking this will summon this navigation menu.
Home
This is a default landing page to serve as the site’s welcome and introduction.
ℹNote that when you visit https://kingdomofardesca.org, you may land on a cover page during times when we want to grab the attention of our visitors to something important.
Royal Court
An information page designed to educate visitors to the functions of Crown and the various Royal Court Offices. Names of who holds these positions, and email addresses to contact these offices are provided.
Fiefdoms
Find a list of all of the Fiefdoms that comprise the Kingdom of Ardesca’s territories, their descriptions, the names of their Heads of Branches (Lord/Lady), links to their online presences, and links to any events they are hosting (or co-hosting).
Events
Find out what’s on the schedule within the Kingdom, whether they are Kingdom/Crown events, Branch events, recurring fight practices or craft meetups, or events of any other type that we wish our populace and the public to be aware of. Also find a link to the Kingdom’s official Google Calendar, maintained by the Royal Steward.
News
Find topics of news that are relevant to our game. These are often curated posts taken from our Facebook Groups, but may also be exclusives to this site.
Documents
This page contains the bulk of our documentation resources that apply to all Citizens and those interested in learning more about our Game.
The first section contains important documents that are specific to the operation of the Kingdom of Ardesca. This is where you will find the Kingdom’s charter, for example.
The second sections contains links to EMP documents that live on the EMP’s website. Of particular note here are the documents that are required reading for anyone wishing to participate in combat at EMP events. Please note that these docs are currently maintained at the EMP level and therefore not on this website, or its web team.
Wiki
Right now this is a landing page to hold place for the wiki when it’s ready to go live. In the future, this will be a link directly to that wiki.
Join Us!
This links to a transition page that talks about how to become a member of the EMP and join the Kingdom of Ardesca, and will then redirect you to the EMP’s website where you can pay dues and register.
Bottom/Footer Navigation Bar
This bar appears at the footer of every web page on this site and contains more navigational items to places on this site. On mobile or when you’re window is too small, the items will stack vertically.
Search
Actually found just above the footer nav bar, this is self explanatory. Type any search to return site-wide results. Does not search the wiki.
Reenactment Resources
A compendium of links to merchants and vendors, as well as resources to help you improve your own medieval reenactment experience.
Forms
Various members of our Royal Court rely on forms to collect information from our Citizens about various topics, or for Citizens to file reports where needed. You’ll find these collected in one place here.
Branch Lord Resources
If you’re a Lord or Lady of a branch, this page is for you. Learn where to find resources that are essential to running your Fiefdom.
