How do I get my recurring event listed?

Recurring events are a type of event that repeats at a regular interval – for example weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc. This typically applies to fight practices or regular crafting meetups. For the purposes of definition, we do not define yearly events such as Ragnaroc, Crown War, Winter/Usurper’s War, or Branch events that are held once or twice a year, as “recurring events”. We set those up as one-off events.

First, it’s important to know that the Royal Steward owns our canonical Kingdom Calendar hosted in Google Drive. All events listed on this site should only mirror the official calendar.

So the first step is to get in touch with the Royal Steward and make sure they are aware, and that it’s on the calendar.

When you do, work it out with them who will contact the Web Team to inform us. If it’s you, you can find us via the Contact page.

The Web Team reserves the right to defer to the Royal Court for approval or rejection.

With that out of the way, understand that our website’s event management system only supports one-off events. So your recurring event will not appear in the calendar view, or with the one-off events. We’ll setup a separate section of the Events page to list any recurring events.

Things we’ll need for an effective event listing:

  • Name of event

  • URL of Facebook event listing (remember it needs to be set to "Public”) or Group if you have one

  • Names of all branches that are hosting/co-hosting

  • Contact info for the coordinator – name, email, etc., however that person wishes to be contacted for questions

  • When the event recurs _ex: “every Sunday”, “every third Friday”, “every day on the 15th from May through September”)

  • Start time, end date and time

  • Location – full address, please, and include a business or site name of where it’s hosted if it applies or aids in navigating to the site

  • Description of the event – what’s the purpose? Give us the sales pitch that should go with it.

  • Any prerequisites to participate: Skill level, medical condition restrictions, required garb or kit, fees, etc.

  • Parking information – onsite? offsite? restrictions?

  • Any special event or site rules (ex: no dogs; 21+ only; no smoking in certain areas; etc.)

  • Links to any forms that need to be printed and filled in advance and brought with

Generally, the more information you have up-front for us, the better!
